The Making of a Lady-Our Wine
Christina Madrigal and Elizabeth Naylor created and designed Two Wives wine to encompass the qualities of all women: elegant in stature, strong in character and sprinkled with just enough sassiness to balance and edge out those who dare to compete. Two Wives wine is blended to exude beauty, style, class and compassioncharacteristics found in great women.
Elizabeth and I know what we want. Christina
We have a say in everything
you couldnt keep us quiet if you tried! Elizabeth
A Blending of Two Wives
Christina Madrigal: Christina is a fifth generation Sonoma Valley native and has lived in the Napa Valley for twenty years. She is married to Chris Madrigal, of Madrigal Vineyards, who is also a native of the Napa Valley.
Elizabeth Naylor: Elizabeth moved to California in 1989 and to the Napa Valley in 1994. She met the love of her life, Michael Trujillo in 1997, while working at Sequoia Grove Winery and Karl Lawrence, they currently reside in Angwin with their daughter Sophia Madelyn.
Its A Balancing Act
Like most women who give birth to their own companies, Christina Madrigal and Elizabeth Naylor, balance family, life, love, and of course, the making of Two Wives Wine.
Two Wives is guiding Christina and Elizabeth in new directions. Christinas children are seeing their mother in an active working role for the very first time and now wanting to work for Two Wives themselves when they grow up. For Elizabeth, its teaching her what she calls an everyday balancethat of good mother and that of good businesswoman.
The Nurturing of Girlfriends
True girlfriends are a necessity. Without them, women wilt and become frail. Yes, there are ups and downs, and even thrills and spills in this, what we call life, but true girlfriends hop on and stay onfor life.
Creating this company together, having fun doing it and having other women identify with it? Lets just say, I feel like Im on a journey with Elizabeth thats taking me somewhere great. Christina
Someone who tells you like it is, good, bad, or otherwise
and loves you unconditionally--no matter what! Elizabeth
On Living
Children are the educators of patience and the embracers of a love that has no boundaries. They are also the best teachers of lifes little lessons; the check and balance system if you will, to making sure you never take life too seriously.
Children have brought everything to my life. Theyve helped me appreciate all the little things and acknowledge all thats important
theyve reconnected the inner child thats in me. Christina
Speaking of not taking life too seriously
Christina and Elizabeth were being interviewed LIVE on a radio show, regarding the Two Wives Wine October breast cancer fundraiser.
Christina was worse then a deer in the headlights! NOTHING came out of her mouth. It was just dead air. She turned to me and motioned for me to answer
and the look on her face was so funny I nearly fell off my chair. I had to do the entire interviewshe could not say a thing! We had a great laugh about it afterwards. Our husbands and many friends listening ribbed her about itit was hysterical! I am fortunate to have a partner that can laugh at herself. Elizabeth
And Dying
Like grapevines, there are no promises when it comes to life. Just ask Elizabeth. She lost her sister Madelyn, to breast cancer in October 2004.
Everyday is a gift. I celebrate my life and family everyday. Elizabeth
On Loving Chocolate?
These two wives both agreeno woman shall live without it!
And so
After a long day of laundry, driving here-there-and everywhere, cooking dinner, kids to bed and on and on, one thing is for sure-- Christina and Elizabeth hope that all who visit their web site will make certain to "take a moment or two for yourself" and they thank you for supporting Two Wives wine. They embrace and applaud all other girlfriends who dare to plant a seed, grow and harvest a dream.
Cheers
Christina and Elizabeth
